ABOUT US

JUDY FOX, Allied Member ASID
Judy Fox arrived from Boston in Arizona 33 years ago after being educated at the
New York School of Design and Harvard.
She initially planned on a brief visit with an aunt who was an artist in the
Phoenix area and then return home to continue her education, but instead Judy
saw a market void for distinctive home accessories for custom homes and launched
a retail business in Phoenix.
Over time many of her retail customers insisted that Judy not only sell them the
accessories from her shop, but also do the entire interior design for their
home. As this service business grew, she decided it was more creatively
fulfilling than retail, so she sold the shop and formed Judy Fox Interiors, Inc.
Judy’s philosophy was to get totally immersed into the lifestyle of her clients
and fully understand what their needs are for their living space. The successes
multiplied and so did the client referrals. Judy didn’t need to advertise as her
clients spread the word about her unique approach to interior design.
Her ability to think quickly and solve tough design problems, as well as her
insistence in being totally involved from the concept through the client’s move
in, earned her respect and gratitude from architects and contractors alike. Judy
may have been a best kept secret in the early years, but as clients referred
their friends and family, her fame as a talented and successful designer spread.
Judy traveled the world and brought back to her studio a personal understanding
of architectural styles, interior designs and how these could be incorporated
and blended into new and wonderfully innovative interior plans. Her client base
grew even more briskly and so did her awards and industry recognitions. She
hand-picked some of the most talented young designers and moved the team into a
beautiful studio in Old Town Scottsdale.
Judy is an introspective perfectionist who discounts the many accolades given
her and the extensive media coverage her designs have attracted over the years,
including “home of the decade in the 1990s.” Instead she focuses on the “next”
prestigious residential or commercial design project as being her signature
piece, like a fine artist signing a work and then moving on to a fresh canvas.
Like many artistic people, Judy has woven herself into the fabric of the
community through her many contributions and associations. She is, of course, an
ASID designer, but locally is involved in or contributes to the Economic Club of
Phoenix, Women of Scottsdale, Childhelp USA, The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer
Foundation and the Sojourner Center.

JENNIFER KAMAN, ASID
Jennifer Kaman has been in the design industry since 1992, after graduating from
Arizona State University school of Architecture with a Bachelor of Science in
Interior Design. She has been working with Judy Fox since April 1998. Along
with Judy Fox she has enjoyed working on some great projects in such locations
as Desert Mountain, Biltmore, Desert Highlands, DC Ranch and others. All of
these projects have created wonderful, unique teams of professionals working in
collaboration to achieve the very best project. Her past employment has included
such names as Leo A. Daly, Dan L. Finch, Corp, Orcutt/Winslow Partnership,
Kitchens Southwest and an internship with Est Est. Being able to work at these
companies has given her a wide range of experience that includes healthcare
design, educational design, high end residential and kitchen design. From this
type of background she is able to take a client through all of the design phases
of programming, design development, construction documents, specifying and
installation.
Jennifer has passed the NCIDQ exam and is a member of ASID. She has been
published in Phoenix Home & Garden.
Jeannie Collins
Great
design is what happens when you take who you are on the inside and make that
perfectly visible on the outside. This is Jeannie Collins’ passion: making
clients feel they’ve created an environment that’s worthy of who they are. When
this happens, Jeannie knows she has done her job.
A long time home builder, space planner, Jeannie blends her knowledge of design
with an uncanny ability to read people’s preferences and desires. In her
relationships with clients, she’s always listening and caring to discover what
visions lie within.
From there, she facilitates the process of making those visions come alive in
the coordinated particulars of fabrics, flooring, cabinet and all the many other
elements of art and space. Her knowledge of different styles, and her ability to
understand each client, is what makes her a truly gifted designer.
Jeannie joined Judy Fox Interiors in May of 2006, bringing her many skills to
bear. Among them is Jeannie’s penchant for allowing existing architectural
features to inspire and inform her concepts. She simply steps out of the way and
allows the physical structure-the client’s personality- to guide her in creating
the perfect design.
Personable, meticulous and caring, Jeannie is all about making that
transformation from the ordinary to the sublime. She brings this aim to her work
because she believes all of life is a miracle. So why not make your home or
office a miracle too.
Jeannie is currently pursuing her ASID certification. She resides in Fountain
Hills, has three children, Katie, Peter and Carrie. When she’s not working, she
is enjoying her favorite activities, hiking, yoga and tennis.
